2012 BMW M5 F10 on the beach in Wales

BMW UK has released a nice video of the performance saloon – M5 F10 hitting the beach in Wales. Just ahead of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the driver Wolfgang Weber enjoys drifting around Pendine Sands to help us support the BMW London 2012 Performance Team athletes. At the final you’ll see an interesting figure created in the sand by the beautiful white M5.

The fifth generation of the performance saloon is powered by a sensational twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 with 560PS (412 kW) at 5750RPM and 680Nm(502 lb-ft) at just 1500RPM. The power plant features M TwinPower Turbo technology, twin-scroll turbochargers, high-precision direct fuel injection, VALVETRONIC variable valve control and a cross-bank exhaust manifold. All this technology delivers astonishing acceleration – 4.4 seconds to 100 km/h and just 13 seconds to 200 km/h. The top speed is electronically limited at 250 km/h (155 mph). Still ,the fuel consumption is incredibly low – .9 liters per 100 km on combined cycle (28.5 mpg) and CO2 emissions of 232 g/km.

IND Green Hell BMW M3

IND has released the updated version and latest addition to the portfolio of BMW projects: Green Hell BMW M3 Coupe aka Meaner Than Hell. IND’s story behind the project is rather unique and filled with emotion. IND’s Green Hell Portfolio Project car was first conceived as a concept immediately following an amazing journey to the home of all European motorsport and BMW’s own home country, Germany. The trip served as fuel to inspire the original Green Hell project, a car that was built as homage to all things racing and the Nurburgring in particular.
